Family Portraits at the Pumpkin Patch – Jill, Ian, and Taeya
We all braved the rain last Saturday to head out to Sauvie’s Island and take family portraits at the pumpkin patch and the Corn Maize. Taeya was an especially good sport about being asked to hang out in the rain and mud to get her picture taken. Although we didn’t actually make it all the way through the Corn Maize (we got halfway and then ended up accidentally coming out from the entrance) Taeya and Ian had a lot of fun playing on the huge hay bales, and we all got to take a look at the animals in the barn. There was a kid’s hay bale maze that was a big hit too (it was under cover, so no mud, and the little ones can mostly see over the top). In the end I was really happy with how the pictures turned out, I’d love to do some more pumpkin patch or other creative family portrait sessions soon (maybe christmas tree farm?).

Emily and Marcus’ Wedding – Leach Botanical Garden – Portland, Oregon
Emily and Marcus’ wedding was a beautiful mix of hand-made decorations, from the hundreds of colorful paper cranes, to the vintage three-tiered plates for the cupcakes, to the hand-crafted beer and the personalized labels – it was really stunning to see the Leach Botanical Gardens transformed for their wedding.
I was lucky to get to photograph such a happy and laid back couple on their wedding day!
Engagement Photos – Vancouver, Wa – Alyson and Jared
James and I had a great time visiting with Alyson and Jared a few weeks ago at their new home in Vancouver, WA while we took their engagement pictures. Alyson and Jared were both really good sports because we picked one of the hottest days this August to take their pictures (note the otter pops that show up in a couple pictures). They have a great piece of property that made for lots of wonderful pictures, I really liked the look of the wall of fishing lures against the red paint.

Fremont Fest 2010 – Portland Oregon Photography
I had a great time seeing all of the fun costumes and decorated bikes at the Fremont Fest this year, a really special surprise to me this year was all of the dressed up dogs, who marched happily along with the other parade participants.

Becca and TJs Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Photos – Pazzo Restaurant Portland Oregon

I had such a great time photographing Becca and TJ a few months back for their engagement photos, so getting the chance to take photos at their wedding rehearsal dinner and meet lots of their friends and family was really exciting for me. This was one of the larger wedding rehearsal dinners I’ve been to, but it still felt very personal and there was lots of time for guests to mingle with each other and the bride and groom, and there was plenty of time during dinner and dessert for some loving (and some funny) toasts by friends and family members.
