I realized this morning that the annual Fremont fest in NE Portland was happening today, and so even though I was exhausted from photographing a wedding last night, I grabbed my gear and headed down the street to capture some photos of the kids bike parade (those pics will be up in a couple days), the Fremont fest and the kids parade are especially dear to my heart because I was a participant in the parade many times as a kid (which must make the fest at least 20 years old). My aunt and uncle owned a bakery on Fremont when I was little, our neighbors owned (and still own) Beaumont Florist, and my parents live right near by. Anyhow, seeing all the kids in the parade made me feel nostalgic and so I dug out some photos of us dressed up for the parade in 1991, I figured it was only fair to post them (my apologies to my sisters and our friends for the semi embarrassing trip down memory lane).
