I had a great time this weekend photographing Luciano at his first birthday party. I loved the “Hungry Little Caterpillar” theme, the green and red cupcakes were really cute. Lu spent most of the early part of the party zipping around on a new toy truck, I think he was excited to have his own mode of transport.  He helped his mom and dad open most of his gifts (using his mouth to get at the ribbons on the presents), and seemed pretty excited about them (lots of clapping and smiling) – which made for some cute pictures. When it came time for “Happy Birthday” Lu wasn’t too sure about the cupcakes at first, but after realizing that they were sweet and that he could rub frosting everywhere he seemed to enjoy himself. I’m amazed at how much he has grown since our first photo session almost a year ago.
